CHRIS C. MEYER
C. C. MEYER PASSES AT HIS FARM HOME ON MONDAY EVENING
To Hold Funeral Service Friday Afternoon at 2:30 At St. Paul's Church
Chris C. Meyer, 53, well known Post township farmer, passed away Monday evening at his home and funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. F. R. Ludwig officiating. Interment will be in Postville cemetery.
Mr. Meyer was born near Castalia on June 25, 1889, the son of Fred J. and Charlotte Schroeder Meyer and he grew to manhood in that locality.
He was united in marriage to Miss Amanda Foels of Postville on February 25, 1914, by the Rev. R. Kuehne and since then this community has been their home. Three children, Clinton, Robert and Helen, were born to this union, all now living near here and who with Mrs. Meyer and three grandchildren survive.
Also surviving are five brothers and three sisters, William L., Fred L., Louis J. and Henry L. Meyer of Postville, Edward Meyer of Castalia, Mrs. Edward Schlee of Postville, Mrs. Elmer Hoth of Waukon, and Mrs. Paul Koevenig of Decorah.
