EDWARD F. ZEZULKA
Funeral services for Edward F. Zezulka, 28, of Dorchester, were held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Waukon, Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 11 a.m. Father Larry Duenas officiated. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Martin's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 6, 1959 at Waukon. His parents are Earl and Dorothy Russell Zezulka. He died September 27, 1987 near New Albin. He received his education at Dorchester Elementary School and Waukon High School. He worked on a farm. Some of his hobbies were woodworking, working on cars, softball and hunting.
Surviving are his parents, 4 brothers, James, Waukon, Arnold, Dorchester, John, Middleton, WI, Earl Zezulka, Jr., Waukon; 6 sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Diana) Deeney, Waukon, Mrs. John E. (Bonnie) Meyer, Spring Grove, MN, Mrs. Ron (Gail) Curtin, Waukon, Amy Zezulka, Schamburg, IL, Carmen McCormick, Postville, Angela Zezulka, Waukon and maternal grandmother, Mrs. George (Sophia) Russell, Sr., Mazomanie, WI.
Pallbearers were Roger Russell, Mark Mahr, Dennis Homewood, John Esser, Merton Phipps and Steve Stock.

Date: 1/9/2007Man dies of asphyxiation
Sunday, September 27, 1987 at about 7:50 a.m. the New Albin rescue squad and Allamakee sheriff's department were called to a location seven miles, west of New Albin on a gravel road north of county road A-26. A passing motor vehicle discovered a vehicle parked on the roadway with the engine running.
Inside the parked vehicle was Edward Frank Zezulka, 28, of Dorchester, who had apparently been asphyxiated.
He was taken by New Albin ambulance to the Waukon hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. An investigation is continuing by the sheriff's department.
