Larry A. Troendle, 43, of Lansing died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 10 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in Gethsemane Cemetery, both in Lansing. Friends may call Tuesday, February 9 from 4-8 p.m. at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing.
Larry was born November 8, 1966 in Waukon to Gerald and Norma (Schorg) Troendle. He graduated from Kee High School in Lansing. Larry worked for Gary’s Tractor Supply, Mike McMillan, Carlson Construction, City of Lansing, and lastly with his father farming. He enjoyed coon hunting, deer hunting, and restoring and collecting tractors.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Norma Troendle of Lansing; siblings Jean (Fred) Ideker of Spring Grove, MN, Denise (Dave) Schmelzer and Vicki Troendle, both of Waukon, Brian Troendle of Lansing, and Jennifer (George) Davis of Prairie du Chien, WI; grandmother Minnie Troendle of Lansing; five nieces, Morgan, Monica and Nora Davis, and Haley and Emily Ideker; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Kay; a nephew, Jesse Ideker; and grandparents Reuben and Frances Schorg and Ted Troendle.
