Final rites for Ricky L. Pearson, 25, were held Monday, June 15, at 2:30 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville. Rev. Dennis E. Morey officiated and burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

Ricky Lynn Pearson, son of Ralph and Melvina (Nuehring) Pearson, was born June 6, 1956 in Postville. He died June 13, 1981 in an automobile accident in Clayton County near Luana. He was baptized at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana.

He attended school in Postville and in 1975 he entered the Marine Corps and served four years and was honorably discharged May 22, 1981. Dec. 13, 1975 he was married to Gwendolyn Jordon at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona. They are the parents of three children. He was employed at 3M in Prairie du Chien.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Grace Pearson.

Survivors include his wife, two sons: Kenneth and Kelly; a daughter, Kimberly; his parents; maternal grandparents, Orville F. Nuehring, Postville and Mrs. Sig (Emily) Hope, West Union, and a step-grandfather, John Schul??? of Fayette.
