Keith Carlyle Hanson, 70, of Liberty, SC died Monday, December 29, 2009 at Baptist Hospital in Easley, SC. Funeral services to honor the life of Keith Hanson were held Monday, January 4 at East Side Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Rick Lee. Burial with military honors was at Greenville Memorial Gardens. Liberty Mortuary handled arrangements.

Born in Lansing, Keith was a son of the late Melvin and Sylvia Sandry Hanson. He retired from the National Security Agency, and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of East Side Baptist Church, and loved to spend his free time doing puzzles, gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Sherrill D. Hanson; a daughter, Michele H. (Keith) Dreas of Hinesville, GA; a son, Melvin (Barbara) Hanson of Annapolis, MD; two sisters, Ruth Jordan, and Roberta Rolfs; two brothers, Ken and Richard Hanson; two grandchildren, Linda Blandin, and Matthew Dreas; and one great-granddaughter, Keira Blandin.
