Services for Kevin Germann were held Wednesday, March 13, 1985 at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Stan Lugenbill of Waukon officiated. The soloist was Clyde Mighells. Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery, rural Monona.

Kevin Lee Germann, son of Walter and LaVon (Kurth) Germann, Jr. was born March 9, 1963 at West Union. He died Monday, March 11 at his home, rural Postville.

He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Waukon and attended school in Clermont and Postville and received his G. E. D. diploma from the Northeast Iowa Technical Institute at Calmar.

For 2 years he farmed with his parents northeast of Postville. For the past several months he had been employed at Miller's Lumber Mill near their farm.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eldon Kurth, paternal grandparents, Walter and Marjorie Germann, Sr. and a nephew Bobbi Alan Germann.

Surviving are his parents, a brother, Jeff Germann of Postville, 2 sisters, Lynn (Mrs. Brian Monroe) of Monona and Karen Germann of Decorah, his maternal grandmother, Ella Kurth of Monona, and one niece and 4 nephews.

Pallbearers were Wes Heying, Jim Miller, Rick Miller, Alan Schultz, Don Miller and Kendall Thompson.
