Funeral services for Milo J. Gericke were held Wednesday, October 14, 1987 at 10:00 a.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Julius Peterson officiated. Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Milo John Gericke, son of Fred and Lucy (Heins) Gericke, was born April 14, 1908 in Franklin Township near Postville, Iowa. He died Sunday, October 11, 1987 in Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

He was baptized July 28, 1908 and confirmed September 2, 1923 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. He attended the Postville Schools.

He married Letha Hesner on June 3, 1937. They had one son. They owned and operated the Postville Locker for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, who died July 17, 1986, his parents, a sister, Clinda, and a brother, Cloy.

He is survived by his son, John and his wife Barb, and one grandson, Anthony Gericke.

Casketbearers were Gerald, James, John and Robert Falck and Roger and Anthony Gericke.
