Funeral services for Cloy H. Gericke were held Monday, May 4, 11 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, Waukon. Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiated. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Martin Bros. Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Cloy H. Gericke, son of Fred and Lucy Heins Gericke was born January 25, 1914 at Postville.
He received his education in rural Allamakee County and Postville Schools.
October 1, 1983 he married Helen L. Opfer at Cresco. The couple had 5 children. He farmed in the Postville and Rossville area.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Clinda. Survivors include his wife, Helen, 2 sons, Robert and Roger, Waukon; 3 daughters, Janice Gericke, San Francisco, CA, Mrs. David (Celia) Hollman, Volney and Mary Munro, Janesville, Wis., and a brother, Milo, of Postville.
Pallbearers were Howard Sande, Harlan Yohe, Dean Bechtel, Craig White, Hall Everman and Elmer J. Rush.

Additional information: Cloy H. Gericke, age 73, died Friday, May 1, 1987 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa.
