Myrl E. Frink, 89, of Donna, Texas died April 23 at McAllen Medical Center, McAllen, Texas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 27, 1:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Chapel. Rev. James Jacobson officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Martin Funeral Service of Waukon was in charge of arrangements.
Myrl E. Frink, son of John Frink and Caroline Baldwin Frink was born February 19, 1899 in Allamakee County near Rossville. He received his education in Rossville area rural schools. He was a carpenter, did cabinetry making, worked in a defense plant in the Quad City area in WW II.
He married Selma Johnson, May 29, 1929 at Waukon in the Rev. Van Nice home. He lived in Donna, TX since 1970 and spent many summers in Park Rapids, MN.
He was preceded in death by brothers Clifford, Dudley, Orville, Herbert, Reuben and Vinton (Twin), and a sister Hazel Rush.
He is survived by his wife Selma; 4 nieces, Edna Wittcopf, Algona; Ruth Brandsmeier, Waukon, Darlene Leas, Waukon and Leona Troester, Monona and 2 nephews, Cletus Frink, McGregor and Fred Frink, Fenton.
Pallbearers were James Leas, David Leas, Allan Troester, Curtis Brandsmeier, Bernard Brandsmeier and Gordon Steffenson.
