Funeral services for Mrs. Elmer P. Flage were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 26, at Zalmona Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Cla. Gault and the Rev. Dick Harberts of Postville officiating. Burial was in Zalmona cemetery in Ludlow township.

Mrs. Flage died February 23 at Postville where she had been a hospital patient following a stroke suffered five weeks earlier.

Alvina Anna Klein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Klein, was born in Ludlow township September 27, 1902, and had lived on a Ludlow township farm until October 30, 1962, when she moved to Postville.

She and Elmer P. Flage were married June 11, 1930 at Bethlehem Presbyterian church by the Rev. John Klosterbor. Elmer and their two daughters remain. They are Gladys Geraghty of Monona and Violet Titus of Cedar Rapids. There are four grandchildren.

Brothers and sisters who remain are Mrs. Paul (Elsie) Shafer of rural Postville, Selma Shafer of the town of Postville, and Lydia Klein of Waukon.

Mrs. Flage attended the Allamakee county schools, and was a member of Zalmona Presbyterian church.

Among those who were here for the funeral were Mrs. Florence Bollhoefer of Baxter, Arlene McKennner of Mitcheliville, Ed Bollhoefer of Haverhill, Martha White of Melbourne, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bollhoefer, Mrs. Grace Buckles and Mrs. Albert Schmidt, all of Newton.
