Andrew P. Welsh, 33, of Lansing died suddenly Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at his home. Funeral services were held Friday, November 27 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, with burial in Gethsemane Cemetery in Lansing.

Andrew was born April 16, 1976 in Waukon to Lloyd and Betty (Voss) Welsh. He graduated from Kee High in 1994 and attended school in Calmar. He was working at Welsh’s Farm & Home Store in Lansing.

He is survived by his parents, Lloyd and Betty Welsh of Lansing; 13 siblings, Debbie Welsh of Lansing, Diane (Randy) Ruth of Plainfield, Denise (Tim) Pavlovec of Urbana, Jayme (Gloria) Welsh of Champlin, MN, Dawn (Rich) Kuster of Bunceton, MO, Rick (Julie) Welsh of Lansing, Danette (Dwight) Jones of Waukon, Dana (Steve) Mathis of Lansing, Deanna (Jon) Gerholdt of Plainfield, Danielle (Jason) Howe and Dacia (Jason) Sommer, both of Waukon, Lance Welsh of Lansing, and Destiny Welsh of West Des Moines; 33 nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patrick and Mary Welsh, and Ben and Leona Voss; and two nephews, Jason Sommer, Jr. and Colton Gerholdt.

The Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted the family. A memorial will be established.
