Eloise Stella Welch died Sept. 30, 1985 at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, WI. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 3, 1985 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, McGregor with Father Donald Hutchinson officiating. Pallbearers were Albert Moose, Greg Moose, Dennis Moose, Dean Abel, Kermit Klees and Lyle Moose. Burial was in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, rural McGregor. Schultz's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born February 28, 1927 in Allamakee County, the daughter of Gerald and Stella (Livingood) Moose. She received her education in the Allamakee Country school and at Rossville. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, McGregor and a member of the Rosary Society.

On February 11, 1946 she was united in marriage to Ralph Orin Welch at St. Mary's, McGregor. They had seven children.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a son Larry Welch on August 9, 1967, three brothers, Ralph, Milburn, Hollis and one sister, Coral Klees.

Surviving is her husband Ralph; three sons, Wayne (Mary) Welch, Kevin (Kaaron) Welch, all of Monona, Curt (Vicki) Welch of McGregor, three daughters, Karen (Tom) Moses, Celeste (Rex) Ewing, all of Monona, Mary (Kurtis) Kurth of St. Olaf, 21 grandchildren, three brothers, Gaylord Moose, Monona, Claude Moose of Waukon and Hubert Moose of Garnavillo and nieces and nephews.
