A mass of requiem was said Friday, June 18, for Mrs. Ferdinand Haas, Union Prairie Township, in St. Patrick's Church in Waukon. The Reverend Clement Burke offered the mass and interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lycurgus. John Dougherty, John Fahey, Pete Onsager, Joseph Haas, Kenneth Malli, and Ray Schneider were pallbearers.
Catherine Schreiber was born July 2, 1871, in Union Prairie Township and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schreiber. September 8, 1896, she married Ferdinand Haas in St. Mary's Church, Lycurgus, and lived on a farm in Makee Township.
Survivors are a son, Clarence Haas of rural Waukon, a granddaughter, and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Dee of Waukon. She was preceded in death by her husband and two grandsons.
Mrs. Haas was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Waukon and was a life long resident of Allamakee County. Blake and Hanson were in charge of arrangements.
