Services For Leon M. Kelly Held Monday Morning
Leon M. Kelly, 52, of 1003 Davis, died at 5:40 p.m. Friday at Xavier Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Ann's Church, Harpers Ferry. The Rev Lawrence Kelly, S.J., a brother offered the Requiem High Mass. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Paint Rock. Mr. Kelly was a member of St. Joseph Court No 507, Catholic Order of Foresters, Fraternal Order of Orioles Nest No 11, Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America. He was born at Harpers Ferry, son of Michael and Ida (Cota) Kelly and had lived in Dubuque for the past 20 years. He was custodian of the Immaculate Conception Academy. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ida Kelly of Harpers Ferry; one sister , Sister Mary Paschal, S.V.M. of the Marquette University, Milwaukee; and Clem Kelly of Dubuque. Casket bearers were Leo Foley, Harley Luster, Clarence Gavin, Ben Quillin, Jerry and Donald Cota. This is the 4th funeral held from St.Ann's since October 18th.Allamakee Journal
