Funeral services for Clara E. Kostman, 83, Cedar Rapids, formerly from Waukon, were held Monday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Chapel, Waukon. Rev. Paul Widen officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Martin's of Waukon were in charge of arrangements.

Clara E. Kostman, daughter of David and Ida Burrows Erhardt, was born February 8, 1906 at Hawkeye, IA. She died at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids on March 23, 1989.

She married Otto Kostman who died April 21, 1934; in 1941 she married William Kostman, Jr., who died September 9, 1946.

She moved to Cedar Rapids in 1965. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her children, Helen Zeman of Cedar Rapids, Edward Kostman of Atlanta, GA; David Kostman of Cedar Rapids and James Kostman of Seattle, WA; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Anna Mae Newton of Waterloo; Marian Wickham of Postville; Frances Dreier of Postville; Florence Ashbacher of Waukon; Raymond Erhardt of Postville and Frankie Erhardt of Waterloo.
