Ella Dorothea Amelia Wilker, 94, of Postville, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 03, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon, Iowa, following a brief illness. Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at the Postville Cemetery, Postville, Iowa.

Ella was born on December 20, 1914, rural Luana, Iowa, to Fred and Caroline (Kahstorf) Panncke. She graduated from Luana High School, Luana, Iowa.

Following graduation, Ella worked for Bill and Mary Radloff for six summers. Ella was united in marriage to Arno Wilker on December 6, 1945, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, Iowa. Arno died in 1973. Ella enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Fred (Gladys) Wilker of Postville and three grandsons, Brian, Brent and Bradley Wilker.

Ella was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Caroline Panncke; her husband, Arno Wilker and one brother, Harold (Elvira) Panncke.

Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Postville, Iowa, is in charge of arrangements.
