Lydia Klein Is Buried Wednesday
Lydia C. Klein, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 28 at Northgate Manor care center in Waukon. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian church, rural Waukon, with the Rev. James Elvig conducting the services. Burial was in Bethlehem cemetery with Martin funeral home in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept. 27, 1902 in Ludlow township to Fred and Clara Siekmeier Klein. She attended rural schools in Ludlow township and was a member of Bethlehem church and United Presbyterian Women. She had been a resident of Northgate since 1977.
Surviving are a brother-in-law Elmer Flage of Postville and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Selma, Elsie and Alvina.
Casket bearers were Leo and Ralph Flage, Wayne and Cletus Fish, Ben Fiet and Marlin Pausch.
