Funeral services were held last Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Marie Klotsche, who passed away March 19 following a lingering illness. The rites were in charge of Rev. F. R. Ludwig.

Mrs. Marie B. Kluge Klotsche was born January 5, 1879 in Penig, Germany, and departed this life after a lingering illness on March 19, 1952, at Postville, aged 73 years, two months and 14 days.

Mrs. Klotsche was baptized in infancy and later, upon renewing her baptismal vows in confirmation, was received into active membership in the Lutheran Church on Palm Sunday 1893, also at Penig, Germany.

Mrs. Klotsche was united in marriage with Ernest H. Klotsche, a missionary to India, on February 3, 1903 at Tanjore, British India. To this union three children were born, two of whom survive the passing of their mother. Dr. Klotsche, her husband, preceded her in death, departing this life on February 11, 1937; their daughter Elizabeth also preceded her in death on May 16, 1931.

Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Johanna, Mrs. Frederick R. Ludwig, of Postville; one son, Dr. J. Martin Klotsche, president of the Wisconsin State college, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; three grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
