Richard Moore Funeral Rites Held Monday
Born on Farm in Jefferson Township 65 Years Ago

The death of Richard Moore, 65, occurred Friday at his home in the city, following an extended illness. A son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore he was born on a farm in Jefferson township, September 21, 1880, where he resided for many years. A few years ago he and his sister Elizabeth purchased the residence on School Street where his death occurred. He never married and is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth, this city, Mrs. John McGeough, Waterville, and Mrs. C. Cottrell of Muscatine, also a brother Patrick of Wacoma, Miss. Funeral services were held Monday morning at St.Patrick's Church followed by burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The pall bearers were T.W. Mullaney, P.J. Mahoney, Arthur Prestemon, Thos. Kerndt, John Larkin, and Herbert Larkin.
