Funeral services were conducted Thursday, November 8 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elgin, at 2:00 p.m., for Mrs. Laurence Knudtson, who died Tuesday, November 6 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota. The Rev. Delbert Dawes officiated.
Delila Oldag Knudtson was born June 2, 1919 at Postville, the eldest daughter of Edwin and Alma Oldag. She received her education in the Postville schools.
May 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to Laurence Knudtson in the Presbyterian Church, West Union. Their entire married life was spent in Elgin. They were parents of two children, Kathryn and Marcia.
Mrs. Knudtson was active in community affairs. She was an involved member of the Progress Club and active in St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she had served as organist for ten years. She had transferred there March 30, 1947 from St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville.
Surviving are her husband, Laurence; her parents, Ed and Alma Oldag, Postville; her daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Kathryn) Mittelstadt of Eldorado and Mrs. Paul (Marcia) Amundson of Fargo, North Dakota; two grandchildren, Wade and Warren Mittelstadt of Eldorado; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Bernice) Schneider, and Mrs. Dale (Virginia) Anderson, both of Postville and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
One grandchild, Shane Allen Amundson, son of the Paul Amundsons, preceded her in death.
Interment was in the Elgin Cemetery, Elgin.
