Brain Dwayne Seegmiller, 16, died Sunday, July 23, 1995, from injuries sustained in a pickup truck accident south of Postville.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 27, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville with the Revs. Charles Miller and Jim Dale officiating. Burial will be in the Postville Cemetery with Schutte Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his parents, Mark and Joan Seegmiller; a brother, Brad; and two sisters, Brooke and Brittany, all at home; his grandparents, Horace and Dorothy Seegmiller of Decorah; and Marjorie Winter of Postville; and his great-grandfather, Orville Seegmiller of Decorah.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Calvin Winter.

Brian Seegmiller
Brian Dwayne Seegmiller, son of Mark W. and Joan M. (Winter) Seegmiller, was born June 6, 1979 in Postville, Iowa. He died July 23, 1995 as the result of a motor vehicle accident near Postville. He was 16 years old.
He was baptized September 9, 1979 at the United Methodist Church in Decorah, Iowa. Brian would have been a sophomore this fall in the Postville Community Schools. He had been employed at the Postville Locker Service and Reggie's Auto Body & Repair.
Brian enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, fishing, riding his moped and working on his car. He had received two trophies for his marksmanship in target shooting.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Calvin Winter.
He is survived by his parents, a brother, Brad, 2 sisters, Brooke and Brittany, all at home, his paternal grandparents, Horace and Dorothy Seegmiller of Decorah, his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Winter of Postville and paternal great grandfather, Orval Seegmiller, Sr., of Decorah.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 27, 1995 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. Rev. Charles W. Miller officiated. Casket bearers were Doug Sass, Josh Holthaus, David Seegmiller, Paul Weipert, Jon DeMong, Reggie Lubka, Jeremy Baxley, Casey Flack and Byron Everman. Honorary bearers were Clinton Seegmiller, Jason Burger, Joel Burger, Jason Farley, Joel Farley, Jeremy Farley, Aaron Winter and Adam Winter.
The Schutte Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.
