Michael Buggy, lifelong resident of the Waukon vicinity, died last Wednesday after a several months illness, part of which time he spent at Iowa City where he submitted to an operation at the University hospital.

He was born Dec. 7, 1878 on a farm in Jefferson township, a son of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Buggy, early residents there. He was engaged in farming up until about four years ago, since which time he has made his home with his sister, Mrs. John Keenan and family of Waukon, where another sister Maria Buggy also makes her home. An only brother, John R. Buggy resides in Waukon.

The remains reposed at the Keenan home until Saturday morning when services were held at St. Patrick's church where a Requiem Mass was celebrated by the pastor Rev. E.J. McDonald, who also preached the funeral sermon. Burial was made in the family lot in Mt. Olivet cemetery with prayers offered at the gravesite Rev. Claude Norton. Casket bearers were Harry Theis, Leo Devitt, John Byrnes, Carl Link, Thomas Mullaney and Will McGuire.
