Perry Perkins

Perry L. Perkins, son of Henry and Mary Perkins, was born on July 29, 1880, at Luana, Iowa. He died at the Community Hospital in Postville on December 20, 1957, as the result of injuries received in an automobile accident.

Perry Perkins attended school in Hardin.

Most of his life was spent in and near Postville. He had been engaged in farming and also worked for the Farmers Telephone Company.

He was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Postville.

Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by one brother, Emory of Portland, Oregon, two nieces, Mrs. Herman Thompson of Waukon, and Mrs. Henry Johnson of Manly.

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
