Mrs. G. Goettel Dies In Lansing

Wellknown Lansing Woman Succumbs At Home Of Daughter Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Goettel were held Monday afternoon at the Federated church in Lansing with the Reverend A. Kile, pastor, officiating. Mrs. Goettel passed away suddenly last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Della Pohlman in Lansing at the age of 74 years.

Emma Gramlich was born September 17, 1868, in Mays Prairie, the daughter of Earnest and Anna Mary Gramlich. She attended the county rural schools. She was united in marriage to Frank Goettel on November 16, 1892 at Mays Prairie. They lived on a farm in Mays Prairie until 1911 when they moved to Lansing, which has since been their home.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Goettle is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Della Pohlman of Lansing and Mrs. Lila Watson of Mason City.

Mrs. Goettel was a member of the Methodist church and later became an active member of the Federated church when the two consolidated.

Pallbearers were Freeman Bauman, Henry Lenz, Edward Gramlich, Dewy Gramlich, Curtis Lenz, and Arthur Bakewell, all nephews with the exception of Mr. Bakewell. Selections were sung at the services by Mrs. Kile, wife of the minister and George Aschom.

Out of town relatives at the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Watson and son, Robert of Mason City, Mrs. William Parks of Gillette of Wyoming. Mrs. George Bakewell of Maywood, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. John Luence of Greeley, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Lenz of Colby, Wis., Paul Pohlman of New Albin and many friends from neighboring communities.
