Mrs. R. R. Ericson
Mrs. Richard Ericson of Center township passed away early Saturday morning at the Lutheran hospital in La Crosse following and operation for strangled hernia. She was ill only a few days. She was 61 years old.
Mrs. Ericson, who was Cora Belle Aldrich before her marriage, was born December 5, 1874, at Village Creek in Lafayette Township, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Aldrich. She received her early education in the rural schools of that township. On January 31, 1901, she married Richard R. Ericson in Center township. Six children were born to this union, two of whom, Edwin E. and Eugene V., preceded their mother in death.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Clarence Clair of Moline, Illinois, and Minnie, Edgar and Reuben at home.
She also leaves to mourn her death the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Ernest Furchner of Plankinton, South Dakota, Mrs. Carl C. Colbornson and Charles Aldrich of Lansing, Mrs. Joseph Johnson of Center township, Mrs. Jay Bishop and Mrs. William Haight of Nora Springs.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Center Baptist church, conducted by the Reverend J. R. Lindblom, assisted by the Reverend C. H. Hoffman of Church. Burial was made in the cemetery near the church.
