Private funeral services for Mrs. Alma Nicolay of Edmonds, who died Tuesday in Victoria, B.C., were held yesterday in Victoria. Mrs. Nicolay
was born in Postville, Iowa. She came to Seattle in 1929 from Eastern Washington and in 1937 moved to Edmonds. Mrs Nicolay was organist of the First church of Christ, Scientist, Edmonds. Surviving are her husband, Joseph J.; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Hamack, Jr., Seattle; two sons, Ted Nicolay, Portland, and Lieut. Col. Stanley Nicolay, Okinawa; four sisters, Mrs. J. Charles Harris, Seattle, Mrs. George Wallace, Minneapolis, Mrs. Maria Smith, Postville, and Mrs. Kate Van Allen, Dallas, Tex.; five brothers, Harry Swenson, Pine Maple, Minn.; Arthur Swenson, Postville; Allison Swenson, Dallas; Hall Swenson, Fort Thomas, Ky., and Frank Swenson, Snohomish, and eight grandchildren.
