TULARE MOURNS LOSS OF WILLIAM ROEBER
Resident of Spink County for 57 Years Laid to Rest

A large group of mourning relatives and friends gathered at the Evangelical church at Tulare on Sunday afternoon to pay their last respects to William H. Roeber, who passed away on Thursday, March 6, 1941. Rev. A.L. Keller was the officiating minister, and Coleman and Son were in charge of interment which was made in the Tulare cemetery. A male quartet, composed of members of the high school which the deceased had been a janitor for twelve years, sang two beautiful selections, and Rev. Keller sang a solo, bringing much comfort to the grieving relatives.

William Henry Roeber was born in New Albin, Iowa, September 14, 1878. At the age of 5, he moved to South Dakota with his parents and lived on a farm west of Tulare, South Dakota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He was united in marriage to Margaret Schroeder September 13, 1906. To this union one child was born. They made their home on a farm west of Tulare for a few years, later moving to Tulare where he had resided ever since. The past twelve years he had been janitor of the Tulare school.

On November 3, 1940, he entered the Huron Clinic, where he remained until the time of his death on March 6th at 9:30 a.m.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Louella Roeber of Marshall, Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Schultz and Mrs. Herman Binger; four brothers, Henry, Herman and Martin Roeber of Tulare; and Louis of Wisconsin; and many other relatives and friends.

He was a thoughtful husband and father, and all who knew him will miss him.
