Mrs. Paul Hesse Funeral Rites To Be Wednesday
The funeral of Mrs. Paul Hesse, who died Sunday, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1962 at Salem Evangelical and Reformed church with the Rev. Mr. Walter Clausing officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with Martin's funeral service in charge.
Pallbearers will be Elmer Kruger, Robert Baumgartner, Howard Snitker, Dale Hesse, Eugene Sanderman and Victor DeBuhr.
Mrs. Hesse, who had been in poor health for the last 10 years, leaves her husband, brothers* and sisters*, six children and 12 grandchildren.
Educated in the local schools, Mrs. Hesse was a member of Salem Reformed church, and had always lived in Allamakee and Winneshiek counties. She was born April 30, 1906 in Ludow township, daughter of William and Caroline Grotegut Snitker. She resided in Frankville township, then in Winneshiek county, and came to Waukon to make her home in July of 1961.
She was married May 7, 1925 at Salem Evangelical and Reformed parsonage to Paul Hesse.
The children remaining are Mrs. Herbert (Marian) Straate; Roger Hesse of Postville, Ronnie Hesse of Decorah, Mrs. Nathan (Ruby) Teslow of Decorah, and Orville Hesse of Decorah.
