Violet A. Kneeskern
February 12, 1908-June 14, 2005JANESVILLE, Wis. --- Violet A Kneeskern, age 97, of 1700 S. River Rd., passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 due to natural causes at Cedar Crest, Janesville. She was born in Wellington, Prince Edward Island, Canada on Feb. 12, 1908,
the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Perry) Arsenaldt and was a Janesville resident for 70 years.She married John H. Kneeskern on January 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1997. Violet was a loving wife to 3 husbands who all preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and an honorary member of the Lutheran Women Mission League. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting mittens for ECHO.
She is survived by her son, John (LaVerne) Sparks of Manhattan, MT; 2 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Delore Arsenaldt of Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada; 5 nieces and nephews; and special friends, Darleen and Francis Zanton of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and a brother.
Funeral services were held on June 20, 2005 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Janesville, Wis., with Rev. Paul Garchow officiating. Interment was in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Schneider Apfel Schneider & Schneider Funeral Home assisted the family.

Alta was a Castalia, Iowa native and married Frank Kneeskern and then Martin Fischer. The Fischer names belongs to Allamakee and Winneshiek County people, as does the Kneeskern name.
