Doriene E. Berg, 66, of Aransas Pass, TX, formerly of Waukon, died Friday, August 6, 2004 at her home in Aransas Pass. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 12 at 11 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon, with Fr. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 11 at Martin Funeral Home where there will be a 4 p.m. Scripture Service.

Doriene Elaine Berg was born August 22, 1937 in Waukon, the daughter of Hugo L. and Dorothy (Deeney) Geno. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in 1954. July 6, 1956 she married Donald John Berg at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Waukon.

She worked for a number of years at Northem Engraving in Waukon. Since 1984 Doriene and Donald have lived in Aransas Pass, TX where she worked as a secretary and office manager for a roofing company. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church while living in Waukon and St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church while in Aransas Pass. Doriene loved spending time with her family and was a very loving mother to her seven children. She also enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include her husband Donald of Aransas Pass; seven children, Jolene (Steve) Reeg of Monona, Jeffrey Berg of Plymouth, MA, Kyle (Peggy) Berg of Victoria, TX, Kathy Tauber of Ingleside, TX, Steve (Mary) Berg of Taylor, TX, Scott (Nancy) Berg of Missouri City, TX, and Eric (Anna) Berg of Pflugerville, TX; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Berg of Strawberry Point; and 13 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Mae Geddis.
