Mrs. Gilman Nelson Dead
Lived on Same Farm in Makee Township Fifty Years
Albertine Marie Anderson was born in Lofoden, Norway, Nov.3, 1854 and passed away on April 6, 1923. She came with her parents to America when she was seven years of age and they settled on Round Prairie.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Gilman Nelson on March 7, 1871. To this union nine children were born eight of whom are living, one daughter, Hanna, having preceded her in death. Those left to mourn her loss besides her husband are Mrs. Adolph Nelson and A.O.Nelson of Cumberland, Wis; O.G.Nelson of Benson, Minn.; Mrs. D.J.Kaeser, Mrs. J.S.Kaeser, Mrs. H.A.Hanson, and Miss Marie and Edwin at home. Besides the children she leaves one sister, Mrs.Laura Knudtson of Starbuck, Minn. and sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Rasmussen at the home and at St. John's Lutheran church on April 9th. She was a charter member of that church.
Mrs. Nelson had the distinction of living on the same farm from girlhood until her death, a period of 50 years.
