Funeral Services Held For Former Resident

Funeral services were held October 16 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Fred H. Thoma, who died at Milwaukee on October 13 of a heart attack. Ed F. Thoma of Postville and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gordon of Luana attended the final rites.

Fred H. Thoma was born at the Thoma home in south Postville on November 18, 1878 and died at Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 13, 1957 following a heart attack.

He was married to Maggie Rush of Postville and three children were born to this union. Later he married Martha Moody of McGregor and three children were born to this union.

The deceased worked for the Milwaukee railroad here for several years then moved to Milwaukee and took a position with a barge company.

Two brothers survive, J. C. Thoma of Waukon and Ed F. Thoma of Postville.
