Services Held For Mrs. L. E. Thoma

Funeral services were held last Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home to St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Louis E. Thoma, 70, who passed away on September 14.

Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor of St. Paul's, was in charge. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Louise C. Thoma, daughter of Herman Sander and his wife, Henrietta Meierkord, was born on July 3, 1883. She passed away at the age of 70, on September 14, 1953. She was baptized in infancy in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville.

She was married to Louis Thoma on October 10, 1904. To this union was born one son, Willard, of Oelwein.

She is survived by her husband, Louis, one son, Willard, of Oelwein, and three brothers: Rudy, Otto and Albert Sander of Waukon, and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Celia and one brother, Herman.

She was a member of the Ladies' Aid of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years.
