Mark Schulte, 62, of 1810 Ridgewood Terrace SE, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, in his home following an extended illness. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Monday, Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Steven
Rosonke. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Stewart Funeral Home, with a
vigil service at 4:30 p.m. The casket will be closed at all times. Arrangements with
Stewart Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine; a son, Clark Schulte; a stepson, Jerry Vick; granddaughters, Heather and Dakota Vick; his mother, Ruth Schulte; sisters, MaryLynn Jones Henry (David Henry), Susan (Dan) Dubishar, Sandra Whitters (Bob Scott); brothers, Dean Schulte and Scott Schulte; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Harold Schulte; and a son, Jeff Schulte.

Mark was born July 2, 1944, in Waukon, Iowa, the son of Harold & Ruth (Burns) Schulte. He graduated from St. Patrick's High School, Cedar Rapids, in 1962.

He was a skilled finish carpenter for his entire adult life.

Anyone who knew Mark was touched by his zest for life and
his killer sense of humor and wit. Mark was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial fund has been established in his name and may be directed to his family.
