Mrs. Frank Buege passed away at the University Hospital, Iowa City, Sunday morning, January 6, 1963, following a lingering illness. She was well known in our midst having been a life-long resident of Allamakee county.

As Adelheid Bernhardin Elise Welper, she was born October 14, 1884 in Union City Township, a daughter of the late Bernhard and Frederike (Holt) Welper. She received her education in the rural schools.

On October 26, 1904, she was united in marriage to Frank A. Buege at the French Creek Methodist Church, making their home on a farm in Iowa Township. To this union one daughter, Mrs. Irene (Buege) Welper was born who passed away August 1953.

She is survived by one brother, Walter Welper, Waukon; four sisters, Mrs. George (Lena) Hagen, Mrs. Louis (Freda) Wiemerslage and Mrs.
Herman (Martha) Renk of New Albin; and Mrs. Charles (Ida) King of Waukon; four grandsons, Everett of Cedar Rapids; and Delbert, Leslie and Virgil of New Albin; and one great-grandson.

Her life was one of devotion and sacrifice for her grandsons and home and her passing is mourned by a wide circle of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter; five brothers, Ru­dolph, Louis, Bernhard, William and Benjamin Welper; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Anna) Munz and Miss Clara Welper.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday afternoon, January 9, 1963, at St. Peter's United Church of Christ at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Emil Burrichter officiating. Burial was in the New Albin cemetery.

Casketbearers were George Munz, Clarence Wiemerslage, Merle Welper, Ray Zezulka, Stanley Buege and John Ashbacher.
