Kathryn B. Wisehart

Kathryn B. Wisehart, 88, of Cedar Rapids, IA, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001 at her home after a long illness. Services are at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Wisehart and Marylin White both of Cedar Rapids, Jodi Van Gelder of Port Hueneme, CA, and a sister, Hazel Waters of Postville. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Kendall.

Kathryn was born on Oct. 22, 1912 in Postville, the daughter of William and Jennie Roth Kneeskern. She married Donald P Wisehart on July 9, 1934 in Burlington. He died in 1994. Kathryn was a country school teacher in Blackhawk County for over 22 years, retiring in 1953. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to hospice of St. Lukes in Kathryn's name.
