Services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at 1:30 at Schutte's Funeral home at Postville for Mrs. Julius Krousie, of Forest Mills vicinity, who passed away at the University hospital at Iowa City, Dec. 30, 1957, after a short illness, Kenneth Holms of Cedar Falls conducted the services.
Julia Marie, daughter of Anton and Anna Halvorsen Swenson was born Feb. 13 1883, in Post Twp. She was married April 2, 1902 to Julius Krousie and they made their home on a farm near Forest Mills where she lived the remainder of her life.
Eight children were born. Surviving are her husband and six children, Violet, Mrs. Guy Barr, Postville; Allan at home, Helen, Mrs. Otto Rovang, Decorah; Earl of New York City; Eunice, Mrs. Arthur Gelo, Waukon; Robert of Monona, and two brothers, Seward Swenson of Monona, and Gilbert Swenson, address unknown. She was preceded in death by two sons, her parents and two brothers, Elmer Swenson of Postville and Robert Swenson of Chicago.
Pallbearers were: Earl and Otto Roffman, Ralph Bachtel, Cloy Lawson, Chris Wintrick and Fritz Berg

Services Held For Mrs. Krousie
Services were held Friday, January 3, at 1:30 at the Schutte Funeral Home for Mrs. Julius Krousie, of the Forest Mills vicinity, who passed away at the University Hospital at Iowa City on December 30, after a brief illness. Kenneth Holmes, of Cedar Falls, Jehovah Witness, conducted the service.
Julia Maral, daughter of Anton and Anna Halverson Swenson, was born February 13, 1883 in Post township. She was married on April 2, 1902 to Julius Krousie; they made their home on a farm near Forest Mills, where she lived the remainder of her life. Eight children were born to the couple, six of whom survive.
Surviving are her husband; six children, Violet (Mrs. Guy Barr) and Allan at home, Helen (Mrs. Otto Rovang) of Decorah, Earl of New York City, Eunice (Mrs. Arthur Gelo) of Waukon, and Robert of Monona; two brothers, Seward Swenson of Monona and Gilbert, address unknown; 12 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons; her parents; and two brothers, Elmer Swenson and Robert Swenson of Chicago.
