Rites Held For Mrs. C. Weihe

Funeral services are being held here this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Schutte Funeral Home for Mrs. Charles Weihe. Burial will be in the Postville Cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth Schutte Weihe, daughter of Helmuth and Minnie Konow Schutte, was born February 20, 1881 on a farm near Postville. She passed away Sunday March 23, 1952 in Postville, aged 71 years, one month, and three days.

She spent her entire life as a resident of this community, coming to Postville with her parents when they retired from farming and lovingly caring for them until their passing.

She was united in marriage with Charles J. Weihe and unselfishly cared for Grandma Weihe until her death.

Elizabeth Weihe was always ready and willing to help those in need and she lived a life of devoted service for others.

She is survived by her husband, three sisters, Mrs. Anna Blumhagen of Postville; Mrs. Mina Atwater and Mrs. Sue Corsori of Los Angeles, California; two brothers, Louis and Charles Schutte of Postville.

Her parents, two brothers August and Fred, and one sister Edith preceded her in death.
