W. C. Bechtel's rites Thursday at Zion Church

The death of William Christian Bechtel occurred Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the Veterans Memorial hospital, following a lingering illness. Mr. Bechtel was born May 26, 1873 in Lansing township, and a son of John Bechtel and Magdalene Steiger Bechtel. He was educated in the rural schools and was married May 16, 1910 to Mary Brandsmeier. They were the parents of one son Karl Bechtel, who survives. There are five grandchildren. There are no living brothers or sisters.

Mr. Bechtel was a member of the Zion Reformed church. The funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm. from the Zion Reformed church. The Rev. W. E. Odenbach will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Bieber, Albert Nolting, Clarence Dee, Carl Brandsmeier and Fred Zimmerman
