Rites Held for Elmer Swenson

Funeral services for Elmer Swenson were held Thursday at 2:00 pm from the Schuttle Funeral Home in Postville, with Rev. Alvin W. Ebert of Monona officiating. Burial was in the Myron cemetery.

Elmer Swenson was born in Allamakee county June 4 1879 and passed away August 31 1953 at the age of 74 years. He was the eldest son of Anton and Anna Halverson Swenson. He never married. He had been in poor health for the last several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert. Surviving are his brother Seward of Monona, Gilbert address unknown, and one sister (Julia) Mrs. Julius Krousie of Postville, also several nieces and nephews.
