Pauline "Polly" Johnston

Pauline Mae 'Polly' Johnston, age 81, of New Albin died Monday morning, March 5, 2007 at Thornton Manor Nursing Home in Lansing. There will be no services. Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing is assisting the family.

Pauline was born in Anamosa June 30, 1925 to Hank and Marie (Knake) Siebels. She married James Johnston in April of 1967 at Cedar Rapids, where they lived for many years until 1987, when they moved to New Albin. She and her husband operated a restaurant in New Albin for many years.

Pauline is survived by three children, Kevin (Carol) Melsha of Solon, Wayne (Joel) Melsha of Winter Garden, FL and Kathyann Melsha of Jacksonville, FL; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James February 25, 2007 and a daughter, Lynda Melsha, August 2, 2006.
