William Doyle

William (Bill) Doyle, 79, of Union City, CA passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home in Union City, CA Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, March 3 at St. Anne's Catholic Parish, Union City. Burial followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, CA.

Bill was born February 1, 1928 and raised in Manchester. For 26 years Bill was an active member of St. Anne's Catholic Parish, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, usher and often assisted those in need of transportation to Mass. A respected salesman for over 50 years, he is fondly remembered as "Sweet Willie" or "Dollar Bill". His passion for hard work soon turned into his favorite hobby.

Bill was a mentor to us all. He always had a smile on his face and something pleasant to say. Friends and family looked up to Bill and admired him. Through the years, he has overcome numerous health crises with dignity and spirit. Bill was a proud man and kept his family close to his heart. Yep, Bill - You taught us life is fine!

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Arlene Doyle. He is an inspiration to his children Patrick Doyle, Brandi "Anita" Speier, Mike Doyle, Teri Nix, Mary Macadam, and Jim Doyle. He is the cherished grandfather of 14, great-grandfather of three and beloved friend of Kitty.
