Julia was born September 7, 1945 in Madison, WI, the daughter of Joe and Wilma (Billy) Wittman. She attended Madison schools until 10th grade and later received her GED. She liked going to the boat on her birthday with her friends, spending time with family and friends, talking on the phone, playing cards, watching television, and eating out.
Survivors include one daughter, Shiloh Deal, and one granddaughter, Gabrielle Julia Deal-Burch, of Postville; one brother, Joe Wittman and special friend Danielle of DeSoto, WI; two nieces, Melanie and Clare Wittman of DeSoto, WI; two aunts, Sister Ann Wittman of Wisconsin and Jackie Wittman of Florida; and numerous other cousins.
Others that Julia considered family were Marcy Folsom and her sons Laen and Brenan of Waukon, Marsha Reisner and her daughters Nancy and Nikki and her son Trent of Waukon, Lisa LaBrec of Postville, and Ella Wilker of Postville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James A. Snorek in 1973.
