Added 09/05/2011 by Connie Ellis:Funeral services for Mabel Krzebietke, age 91, of Lansing, Iowa, formerly of rural New Albin, Iowa were held Saturday, June 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Albin with the Rev. Thomas Laufer officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Caledonia, Minnesota with arrangements by Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home of Caledonia, Minnesota. Casket bearers were Robert Krzebietke, Calvin Krzebietke, Justin Krzebietke, Dale Neumann, Garland Moe, and James Hammell.
Mabel, daughter of John and Mary (Anderson) Moe, was born February 18, 1906 in Jefferson Township, Houston County, Minnesota. On December 19, 1942 she married Karl W. Krzebietke at the Immanuel Lutheran parsonage in Caledonia, Minnesota. They farmed in Jefferson Township, rural New Albin, Iowa until December 4, 1984 when Karl died. Mabel continued to live on the farm until January 1988 when she moved to Thornton Manor Care Center.
Mabel Krzebietke died Thursday, June 19, 1997 at Thornton Manor Care Center in Lansing, Iowa. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson and two brothers, Elmore Moe and Carl Moe.
Mabel is survived by 2 step-sons, Karl J. (Rita) Krzebietke of New Albin, Iowa and Paul (Erna) Krzebietke of Caledonia, Minnesota; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ida (Arlie) Kubitz and 1 brother, Walter Moe, all of Caledonia, Minnesota.
