Funeral services for Mrs. Mary C. Schultz, 83, were held Wednesday, December 7, at 1 p.m. at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, also known as the Turtle Creek Church, eight miles west of Tulare, S.D. The Rev. John Mimlitz was in charge of the services. Burial was at St. John's cemetery beside her husband. The Coleman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Schultz died Saturday afternoon (03 Dec 1955) at Community Memorial hospital, Redfield, S.D.

She was born January 1, 1872 at Dorchester, IA. She came to South Dakota with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Roeber, in 1883 when the family settled in Buffalo township west of Tulare, S.D.

She was married to Carl Schultz who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Herman of Tulare, S.D. and Edwin L. of Redfield, S.D.; and four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Ost of Toronto, S.D.; Mrs. Ella MacNeill of Tulare, S.D.; Mrs. Alma Warfield of Tulare, S.D.; and Mrs. Ann Larsen of Watertown, S.D.
