Services Friday for Silas Shefelbine, 40

Silas M. Shefelbine, 40, of 950 Twenty-second St., a resident of Marion for 12 years, died Tuesday morning at Cedar Rapids hospital.

He was born at Dorchester. He was married to Marilyn Harden on Jan 5, 1950 at Marion. He had been employed as a stock clerk at Witwer Farm Markety No 7 in Cedar Rapids for the last 16 years.

Mr. Shefelbine served in the army in 1946 and 1947. He was a member of the Dorchester Methodist church.

Survivors are his wife, 2 daughters, Sue and Jean, at home: 5 brothers, James and Norris, of Cedar Rapids, Alfred, Gaddis and Malcolm, all of Dorchester: 2 sisters, Mrs. Erling Lundering and Mary Shefelbine of Cedar Rapids.

Services: Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Murdoch chapel conducted by the Rev. Herbert Kohl, Burial: Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel after 2 p.m., Wednesday
