Opal M. Britain, 88, Lincoln, Neb., formerly of eastern Iowa, widow of Lowell L. "Boots", died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003.
She was born in Dorchester, Iowa on April 15, 1915 to Roy and Lena (Hahn) Sires.
She was a member of the College View Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lincoln, Neb.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lowell R. and Cleo Britain of Redding, Calif.; daughters, Norvene Watts of Diamond Bar, Calif. and Karla Britain of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren Teresa & Richard Hall of Corona, Calif. and Ted Watts of Diamond Bar, Calif.;
great-granddaughters, Kelsey and Katie Hall of Corona, Calif.; sisters, Goldie Rocksvold and Emerald Grahlman of Waukon, Ia., Betsy Pokorny of Havana, Ill.; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Marce Sires of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Sires, of Waukon, Ia., Eleanor Sires of Wichita, Kan. and Shirley Rogers of Lincoln, Neb; and sister-in-law and cousin, Lorraine Britain of Waukon, Ia.She was preceded in death by sisters, Sylvia May and Pearl Ehde, and brothers, James Sires and Sardius Sires.

Private family services at were held at College View cemetery.
