Robert Carl Breeser, 77, of Lanesboro, MN died Saturday, December 22, 2001, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont, MN. He had lived there for 1 1/2 years. He was born on March 15, 1924, at New Albin, IA, to Carl and Laura (Pottratz) Breeser. He married Vera Olloff and they lived in Caledonia, Whalan and Lanesboro areas. Vera died in 1974.
Robert farmed in Caledonia until retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Whalan Lutheran Church, enjoyed rolling dice, taking walks and worked for the Green Thumb organization while in Whalan and Lanesboro.
He is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Ted) Fisher, Granda and Roberta (Jim) Knopick, Winona; four grandchildren; one brother, Walt (Phyllis) Breeser, New Albin; and one sister, Ethel Thomas, New Albin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers.
Services were held Wednesday, December 26, 11 am, at Whalan Lutheran Church with burial in New Albin. Rev. Paul Johnson officiated. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church.
Johnson-Riley Funeral Home, Lanesboro, was in charge of arrangements.
