MRS. HANGARTNER

Mrs. Fred Hangartner,nee Elsie Maria Ruby Willman,the daughter of Rudolph Willman and Amelia Reincke Willman was born in Postville,February 7,1908. She was baptized in St.Paul`s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville on February 14,1908 and confirmed on September 2,1923. She died at her home on February 10,1965 following a lingering illness, at the age of 57 years and three days.

She was married to Albert Meyer on February 12,1928. To this union were born two daughters. She was married to Fred Hangartner on April 28,1949.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one brother,Harlan; and one step-daughter, Marie Snitker.

She is survived by her husband,Fred; two daughters, Gladys Mae, Mrs. Gene Medberry of Mt. View, California, Kathleen, Mrs. Harold Burshtan of Charles City; two grandchildren, David and Tracy Burshtan; two brothers, Lester Willman and Lorenz Willman of Postville; one sister Mrs. LaVila Schmidt of Postville; two step-daughters,Enola, Mrs. Bert Sturm of Davenport and Bernita, Mrs. Les Broders of Walla Walla,Washington; 17 step-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was an active member of St. Paul`s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Postville all of her life and a member of Lutheran Church Women,She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and VFW Auxiliary and has been employed by the Postville Telephone for many years.

Funeral services were held at St. Paul`s Evangelical Lutheran Curch,Postville on Saturday February 13, Interment was in the Postville cemetery with Rev. Charles E. Witt, pastor of St. Paul`s Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
