Harriet Fish

Harriet V. Fish, age 80, of Prairie du Chien passed away Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 16, 1925, in Harpers Ferry, IA, daughter of George and Lydia (Wachter) Jones. She was previously married to Roland Dundee on Sept. 15, 1942. She later married Leo Fish on Oct. 28, 1947, in Rockford, IL. He preceded her in death on Apr. 7, 1987.

Harriet was a charter member of the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien where she served the congregation in many ways for many years. She is survived by three daughters, Beverly (Chuck) Shedivy and Vicki (Don) Hand both of Prairie du Chien and Sharon (Mike Colburn) of Milwaukee; a son Dennis (Linda) Dundee of Elma, IA, a sister Helen Sawvell of Rockford; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harry and Herman Jones, a sister Hazel Boland Hansen and a grandson Lance Shedivy.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Prairie du Chien, with Rev. Lynn Schreck officiating, with burial in the Rossville Cemetery in Rossville, IA. Friends may call on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Garrity Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien and at the church on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005, from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
